6 ways how Social Media Branding can bring clients to your business almost on autopilot.

Social Media is a whole new world. Even in the darkest time when it seems that marketers almost destroyed it with unnecessary ads, it remains a brilliant place to connect with like-minded people around the globe. And here is the key word “connect”. When we first try to apply Social Media Branding as entrepreneurs, we often want to scream about our offers. “Hey, hire me! I’m an opportunity! Use my brains! Use my experience! I can help!”, and for overwhelmed readers, you sound just like the other door to door seller.

They don’t want you, even if you are brilliant. And of course you are brilliant, but what to do next?

Here are six ways to attract your clients on autopilot. You will never need to promote yourself in a sleazy way ever again.

Tell a Story

What do you love to do apart from your business? Do you have some stories from your life that have made you laugh or cry?
Here is an example:
My creative story started when I was four, with a short newspaper note “The art exhibition was very successful, children from all around Ukraine were giving their art projects. The average age of participants was between 6 to 12. Also, the 4-year-old E. Voyevoda took his part in an exhibition.” I was always upset that they called me a boy, but there was no way back. My creative career had been decided then.
Do you think people will immediately buy from me just by hearing this story? No. But they will remember that I’m related to something creative from the early childhood, and as I’m a specialist in branding and visual communication, it works for me.
What story leads clients to your brand?

To work on your Social Media Branding, share some Value, give some tips and ideas

Share some Value

Give some tips and ideas. My personal recommendation is not to share what everyone shares. Look at your experience and before you recommend something try it. This way your content always will be original. We all have experiences that are unique and valuable. When you hear from the biggest names in the industry like Gary Vee or Oprah or Marie Forleo, did you notice what they share? More important, how they share.

The value combined with your unique charm is the best way to a Powerful Personal Brand.
Tweet It!

It’s a valuable advice with a powerful flavour of personal experience. You have something valuable to share that no one else has but you. The real experience that you have makes much more sense than the one you just looked in from the book. Usually, the valuable posts are the main reason why people choose to work with you.

  • First, they know what you do.
  • Second, they see that you are passionate about it.
  • Third, they see that you have a solution for their problem.
What are your unique powers that can inspire your readers and spice up your posts?

Share Content that Inspires you

Follow influencers and all people who inspire you. This type of content is very powerful if you want to establish your authority fast. When you comment on somebody’s else’s opinion, there are several ways. One, you agree, and you have a few more points to support the topic. Otherwise, you entirely disagree, and you have substantial evidence that your position is correct unlike the one in the topic. The third way, you just share the resource, then add to it or tell why you also use it.
In this situation, you put your name along with big names. If customers like your opinion around the content and the topic they will put you in a similar position in their mind. If you do it consistently, then you gain authority faster than ever.
Who are your favourite public figures?

To work on your Social Media Branding, comment and connect with people

Connect with people by giving genuine comments

This is a crucial skill for Social Media Branding. We do not build numbers here, but a community. If you comment and put attention on what people do, they will answer. Try to know people better, ask questions and give answers. Avoid general automatic looking comments such as “Wow. You’re Rock. Well done. Great…”.

Make such comments that people want to reply. Tweet It!

Consider commenting as another way to provide value. Don’t be shy to start a conversation even if no one answers you today; you’ll build your tribe eventually.
In 2008 I generated massive traffic to my then blog just by commenting on similar blog posts online. So comments are compelling, and while we can’t call them an autopilot technique, they are an investment in your brand success.
What type of comments do you like to receive?

To work on your Social Media Branding, share video testimonials

Share testimonials

Nothing sells better than a realistic feedback. Collect testimonials, ask for video testimonials whenever possible. Share customer’s’ words as it is without editing so that they sound more believable and honest. I asked many people if they believed the testimonials online. And people mostly say “maybe, but not really”. We all can take testimonials from our neighbourhood, you see. But video testimonials and testimonials in Facebook comments are far more powerful. They are public, and people allow you to post them to your channels. It’s difficult to pretend on video, that’s why if you can share a customer’s feedback, make it real. The testimonial may not convert your prospects to buyers but will give them a reason to believe, even if they’re still not convinced to 100%.
Which testimonials do you like to read – the realistic and raw ones or those that are polished to perfection?

Show how your product is created

Instead of saying “Hey, buy my product”, tell the story about its benefits. Make a video on how it was created, show details, describe it in a yummy storytelling way so that people get involved in the process and fall in love with your product. Professional videos about the product creation is always a good way to share with clients what you do. Check out the biggest brands, masters of Social Media Branding, like Dior by Fashion Channel or Louis Vuitton by CNN or Prada handmade collection.

You can share so much through such video, a mood, your brand values such as attention to details, your lifestyle, and more. If you can’t make a video, use Instagram and share your story via beautiful photos. Hands of the Master, smile, final touches. Let your client’s know now how much you respect them and how much you add into it.

You may ask “Where is autopilot?”
Well, here is the huge difference when customers come to you, and you request them to buy. When they’ve already made their decision, they’re just confirming with you; there is no need to convince them or ask. They already know you and want to work with you. And that’s the way how Social Media Branding wins customers’ hearts.

How can social media branding benefit your business?

Branding is powerful, it changes your mind and helps you to grow your business. But it’s a big exercise, and many solopreneurs are at the stage when they just need to attract a few new clients online.
In the beginning, you do not need to have all branding element like v-cards, letterheads or even logo.

Branding sets up four key aspects of your biz.

  1. Clients know what you do
  2. They also know how you different from competitors
  3. You know who your customers are
    and
  4. You act as your brand

You can create awareness about those factors on a colossal scale if you want to operate globally. But you can also start from the smaller level in social media without advertisements. Please do not think that if you do not pay for ads, it has to be a free exercise. Can you become your own dentist? Same with branding. Hire a good brand expert who will provide you with strategy, plans and of cause design.

Why brand your company if you are a solopreneur or have a small business?

About a year ago, one of our clients decided to change his site. His reason, however, was specific. He said that he had lost several opportunities to those who provided lesser quality. Also, his prospects were ready to pay more to a couple of competitors who had bigger prices, but provided with the same quality as he does.
We explained to him that the brochure and the site wouldn’t help him to reach the stage where he wants to be. And he needs branding. Here is why.

  1. Clients willing to pay more for better quality. But to do that, they need to know you. They need the testimonials, and they need to trust you. Good branding will take care of it.
  2. It’s much better if a client already heard about you. If you come with credentials, testimonials and everyone talks about you, your potential customers will trust you more.
  3. Can you do this without branding? Branding provides you, and your prospects, with the clarity about what you do, why you do it and how they benefit out of it. It gives you valuable tools to create an image in customer’s mind so they notice you, remember your brand, and decide to work with you. Without this instrument and the system, it will be a longer process with no expectations.

But branding does not need to be heavy. You can start with the social media branding and build the environment for your space fast and efficiently. You may like to increase it later, that up to you. For instance, Social media Kit will make your content branded on a highest possible level without big investments.

Four things to know to attract the Ideal client to your brand

When we start our business, we need to know several things that we are going to do, who we are going to sell it and why they need it. This knowledge helps us to build an established business. Surprisingly, the same data helps us to create a successful brand.

I’ve created several topics about target audience already. And think, you already know what are you going to do. So here we will touch the most important client’s pain points, fears, dreams and desires.

If we want to communicate to customers in the right way, not just share the theory, we need to speak in their language about their issues. But even if you know who your ideal client is, how do you find their pain points, fears, dreams and desires? Asking about such things a little bit weird, isn’t it? First of all, if you know your ideal client, or at least target audience, you would be aware where their hangout. Let’s check these places:

Facebook groups.

Become a member of the group where your potential customers might be. Once you are in, add your keywords or potential pain points in the search field on the top right. That way you will have the list of comments and discussions related to your topic. Collect this information in one file, either by copy pasting it or screenshots. You will work with it later

Books they buy from Amazon.

The books relevant to your theme also have some comments below. Check what people say about solutions. What excited them and what disappointed them. You can use both to improve your business and add some features to your product.

Blogs they read.

Bloggers often touch the themes which are relevant to your product.Check the comments. These comments themselves are a fruitful field for blogging. People often ask for the solution. Keep in mind the way how they ask for it. What types of keywords they choose. What tone of the voice they use and what answers satisfied them.

Quora.com

Quora has thousands of questions relevant to your client’s pains and fears. Check the conversations. The questions as well the answers may work just like magic. You can create hundreds of topics in hours.

Twitter

Check for groups and lists first. You may find good collections of influencers or leaders who talk about your solutions or problems. Twitter search may also help in this situations.

Other Groups

LinkedIn and Google also have groups, and some of them are super active. You can look for your data there as well.

Famous Youtube channels

The leaders and influencers often have their Youtube channel. Check them out, they have probably spoke about this already. There can be some decent comments in there. Same works with podcasts.

If you have a huge list of followers

Do the survey. People who follow you already have a reason to be with you. Even if they didn’t buy from you, they quite probably like to read what you write or watch your video. Ask them.

And the cherry on the pie.

If you already have clients, (and I always recommend to build the brand only after you have clients) ask them. The real customers already have a reason; they know why they buy your product. More than that, they can recommend you how to improve it.

Do people love your social media account?

I started my first blog in 2008 after I shifted to India. It was a personal blog about me in India, and people loved it. The stories were more like observations. And, honestly speaking, it didn’t have any unique value as I didn’t add anything special to it – just India and me, that’s it.

Two years after, I decided to replace my Indian blog with a food blog about Indian food and travelling. My idea was simple; I thought people need something from me, and so, here I’m, with the story about Indian spices and some recipes. The idea allowed to accommodate all my passions; I love to cook, to photograph and I wanted to know more about Indian spices. I’ve created a super-cool logo, applied a beautiful theme and added some posts, expecting more love from my readers. But hear the feedback I got, “Sorry, but when I’ve read you before, it was all about you, it was honest and real, and now I feel I am reading some corporate blog and waiting till it starts selling me something.”

That was a terrible feeling. I so consciously calculated the value, that I’ve just lost myself. And it’s a common problem with many blogs or social media accounts. We try to be something more and take examples from the huge corporations or big websites. By doing it, we underestimate the authentic power of our self. The social media account of the small business or entrepreneur, it’s a journey for a reader when they decide whether they like to work with this biz or not. If you are honest with yourself and do what you love, the Social Media account or blog will have more readers, than one created without a heart.

So the first thing I did to fix the situation, I’ve changed my logo to my best picture and named all my accounts related to that blog “Eve from Spice & Food”. I’ve gotten an immediate response; people started messaging me because even though they would love to discuss my topic before, they also wanted to talk to a human. I got more followers and more traffic to my blog.

So, here is the tip.

About a year ago, I experimented with my personal Twitter account. (I like Twitter — it responds fast to such experiments). I choose four themes which I’m interested in. Those were art, photography, branding, and business. I was already subscribed to many relevant pages on Facebook, so it was not difficult to grasp the information. I also subscribed to many museums and galleries to add more to the art section (Well, I spent six years of my life in art school and then another six in Art Academy and 90% of my friends share some art news on a daily basis). So, I start posting about what I read or I wanted to read later. I started sharing only news valuable to me, without even thinking if somebody else is interested.

As a result, I got followers who are genuinely interested in these four themes. They were interesting enough to be followed back. I earned more trust and got a real crowd around my account (fewer fake ones).

I practically understood that being myself is better than pretending to be helpful. That focus on particular themes gives relevant followers. That regular posting on twitter, (I did post about six to eight times per day) works better than lesser activity (for other social media platforms, figures might be different). And more importantly, you do not need to search some exclusive content for it, you are already reading it every day, just share it more often. After all, the key is honesty, if you will drop a few comments on the chosen topics, it will only add a character to your account, and just a few thoughts here and there.

Do you agree with me? If yes comment below, if not share your opinion in the comments as well.

Cheers 🙂

6 Secret Techniques on how to use photography to sell better during Holidays.

How many official holidays mean something to you?
How many of the same holidays will be substantial for your customers?

Sometimes I see my timeline on Facebook and think that I can get mad with all these similar looking e-cards. But after all, any holiday is a reason to post something, isn’t it? So, to post or not to post?

1. Treat customers as you would treat yourself.
Anything which does not attract you online, potentially will not tempt your buyers. After all, they are all humans, just like you. So, if you want to celebrate something, think what will make you happy?

2 Make exclusive content, don’t copy.
When the time of national or world celebration comes, all creativity vanishes for a while. If it’s some state day, we will deal with the flag, if it’s Helloween, that would be pumpkin, if it’s Christmas, it will be red colour and snow. I’ll be straightforward – if you can’t create something sweet and personal, better post nothing. Bad communication may harm your brand more than absent communication. So stop for a second and ask yourself: “Do I have THE IDEA?” If not, search for inspiration (check here how), and think again. Did you find your big idea? Yes? Yay, create it and share with the world! No? Just don’t post, or leave a formal text message without a picture.

3 Personalise it, if you can
How would you react if the brand sends the message to you? Well, all like when people remember their birthdays, anniversaries, special days (that’s what Facebook tries to work out with all these videos for friendship day, etc.) So? Can you make it personal? If you can, then do it. It’s always better or talk to someone special than to the faceless public.

4 Gently offer something
Ok, we want to sell something. These types of post usually help smart business people who love to learn new things and become more and more successful, right? So, you want to sell, don’t you? When we talk about big celebrations, the discounts sell well, because people are waiting for them. After all, your discounts, these days, compete with your competitor’s discounts (nobody wins). But what if you will be different? What if you will click the photo of your real team which is wrapping gifts and excited to share something special with customers? Think about it. All you need is a good promo idea and one exquisite click with your smartphone.

5 Participate the celebration
Celebrate with customers, invite them to celebrate with you offline or online. You can celebrate in office and share joy via Periscope or Hangout of FB Live. Make online meeting, have fun. Be human to your customers, be a friend.

6 Be honest
The honesty is an important quality which leads to the trust. Do your customers trust you? Well, the more you share about your brand, the better. Let’s say your company makes something to celebrate. Show people the process, share personal stories about you or your team. Let it be emotional and touching and once again honest.

Conclusion
Wish from heart and love your customer. Loving your customers is crucial. It’s not only about friendly behaviour or smiley in the text. It’s about the secret ingredients within your heart which make every message you share special.
